An insight into the magical world of Freya Rose

As the date approaches, we’re getting extremely excited about launching our new ‘Enchanted’ collection at this years luxury Bridal Trade Fair, The White Gallery. From 20th-22nd May the very best in Bridal design will come together in the fine surroundings of Battersea Park to launch their forthcoming collections.

The Freya Rose ‘Enchanted’ Collection is reminiscent of the magical stories and colourful wonders found in a fairytale garden. Inspired by fresh dew sparkling in the sunlight, wild flowers gently swaying in the wind and the delicate flutter of fairy wings, this collection has been created in order for a bride to create her very own fairytale experience.

Incorporating delicate crystal, gold chain with silk organza and couture silk flowers hand painted in gold leaf, this collection is an innovative, romantic and breathtaking approach to couture wedding shoes.

We don’t want to give too much away…. but here’s a sneak peak of what to expect!

Bridal retailers can register online and further information about the event, including directions, can be found at www.whitegallery.com.

Freya Rose will be on Stand: 606

We look forward to seeing you all there!

We are loving the latest shoot from ‘Vintage Bride‘ showing their new collection. The Denmark stockist now stock a beautiful selection of our bridal shoes and have used our ‘Della Sky’ Ivory satin shoes, Mother of Pearl Rose shoe clips and ‘Aide’ with our signature Mother of Pearl heel. We were wowed by their beautiful styling, just take a look at some of these gorgeous pictures….

The Freya Rose showroom has a wonderful make-over! In a moment of undulation, the FR team decided a refurbishment was due. With black walls, a beautifully bouncy black carpet, and an exquisite floor to ceiling feature mirror, the showroom has been transformed into a glamourous and chic shoe boudoir.

With carefully placed spot lighting, the shoes come alive…. we love love love it!

Take a look at the pictures and see what you think!

If you would like to come and visit the showroom, we are based at:

We wanted to share a snapshot of images from our recent shoot with Sabina Motasem at the Waldorf Hilton Hotel

Sabina Motasem Bride, is London’s best kept bridal secret, offering luxuriously understated elegant wedding and cocktail dresses. Their collection oozes the glamour and sophistication of old and new Hollywood, using geometry and simplicity combined with simple shapes, reminiscent of the Art Deco style.

The shoot was set in the beautiful ballroom of the Waldorf Hilton Hotel, which was incidentally used in filming some of the scenes in the James Cameron film Titanic. The Waldorf is an iconic London hotel, located in the west-end. It is a beautiful wedding venue and its architecture recreates the glamour and sophistication of the 1920′s jazz era.

Using a collection of Sabina’s dresses and shoes from our new ‘Enchanted’ Collection, we set up camp in the stunning mirrored surroundings of the Palm Court, and here are some of the images from the shoot….:

We’d just like to say thank you so much to everyone who was involved in the shoot! We had a really fun day and are thrilled with the images….(more to come)

Digging for GOLD!

- 26/06/2012

With the Queen setting the pace in the gold race with most things adorned in gold for her Diamond Jubilee… we have suddenly turned into magpie’s. Gold portrays feelings of ultimate luxury, power and extravagance….So in the spirit of all thing extravagant, we have seriously fallen in love with gold this wedding season, and particularly gold wedding shoes…. They are the ultimate in luxury, so metallic and sparkly!

They go against the conventional wedding shoe attire, however we think it has always been a bit cool to go against the crowd. We want to go where others haven’t been before, and how perfect to do it in some beautiful shoes.

Gold wedding shoes create the WOW! factor…. and lets be honest, there’s not a girl out there who doesn’t want to wow on her wedding day. The new Freya Rose gold wedding shoes, named ‘Helena’, ‘Roccoco’ and ‘Revery’ are a spectrum of subtle gold to serious gold, depending on how daring your feeling!

‘Helena’ RRP £395
‘Roccoco’ RRP £445

‘Revery’ RRP £335

The three shoes are a soft leather metallic gold sling-back, with the upper made from Organza. The designs of these shoes enable the wearer to not distract from the dress, but to wear a beautiful pair of shoes just as luxurious as every other part of their wedding day! And the best bonus of all…. you can wear them again without people thinking that you’re wearing wedding shoes!! These shoes are all perfect for a Black Tie evening, and also look fabulous with jeans and a t-shirt…!

Here are some other gold wedding features we LOVE LOVE LOVE!!

WEDDING THEME:

Gold is a beautiful combination alongside another colour as a wedding theme…. navy blue in particular creates a regal feel, and is a more unusual alternative to a winter wonderland theme.

CANDELABRA’S:

Gold Candelabra’s create a luxurious atmosphere and photograph fantastically. Use white candles and against a white setting for a fresh and elegant feel. Too much gold and you risk being called ‘tacky’!!

WEDDING CAKES:

Beautiful beautiful beautiful cake with gold leaf ball detail… Looks so good, we want a piece!

WARNING: Gold can easily go wrong… so follow the check list to get it right:

1. Get the theme right, mix a soft gold with a bold colour (such as the navy/gold regal theme) or a vivacious gold with a fresh white.

2. Add splashes of gold here and there…. have too much of it everywhere and people will need to wear their sunglasses all day!

3. Choose the correct gold shade… anything too bling bling will look like your trying to compete with the Beckhams and their golden thrones.
