A UNIQUE JEWELLERY COLLECTION OF EXQUISITE, CONTEMPORARY DESIGNS.
The day has finally arrived and we're so excited to announce the launch of our new Woven for Women collection which comprises 5 unique designer gold jewellery pieces and a complimentary line of regal crystal charms.
The Inspiration Behind the Collection
Inspired by the decadence and glamour of 1970s New York and the indulgent, glittering energy of Studio 54, Freya Rose’s Woven for Women collection comprises statement gold jewellery; from unique hoop earrings to designer gold cuffs the ultra feminine, yet
bold accessories are a beautiful collection of contemporary gold jewellery.
The Craftsmanship
Meticulously handcrafted, the new 22ct Gold Vermeil Woven for Women collection of unique designer jewellery is crocheted by artisan jewellers using a rare East Indonesian craft which has been passed down through generations - a distinctive, now specialist technique only a handful of people are still able to do.
The Concept of the Weave
Freya Rose says “When I discovered the intricate and beautiful technique of woven wire, whilst visiting our artisans in Bali, I instantly resonated with the idea that the woven nature of the craft represents the power in women supporting women. The concept behind the weave is that whilst light, delicate and feminine, it holds such strength - reflecting how women are stronger together.”
Supporting Two Timely Initiatives
We’re extremely proud to share that our latest Woven for Women collection will be supporting to timely initiatives. 5% of the profits made from the Woven for Women collection will be going to two women focused campaigns.
•
12 years ago Freya Rose herself started her eponymous and globally respected label with the help of a loan from the Prince’s Trust and understands the importance of empowering and supporting women and women in business. Women Supporting Women is a charity initiative set up by The Prince’s Trust. As an ambassador for the trust, Freya was keen to continue supporting the charity by not only donating a portion of the collection’s profits, but with big hopes to raise significant awareness for the campaign. Having been supported by The Prince's Trust herself, Freya Rose now wants to help support this life-changing charity which champions young entrepreneurial individuals and enables them to realise their business dreams regardless of their background.
• Close to Freya’s heart is ‘For Women in Bali’, an initiative set up by Freya herself. The aim is to support the incredible women in Bali that not only make our divine jewellery and jewelled shoes, but the upcoming generation too! Freya champions craftsmanship and unique design, but sadly so many traditional crafts are being lost through lack of training and support. ‘For Women in Bali’ tackles this by providing education and training to the next generation of traditionally trained jewellers.
