ABOUT OUR
FEMALE FOUNDER
Freya Rose grew up immersed in the world of fine jewellery and studied footwear design at the London College of Fashion. It was her dream to create luxurious shoes that incorporated her knowledge of jewellery.
Whilst travelling in Indonesia she was first inspired by region's decorative use of mother of pearl within jewellery this lead to her innovative development of iconic jewelled pearl heels.
Freya founded her eponymous lable in 2010 with the support from The King's Trust. Fast forward to 2021 and she launched her inaugural collections of jewellery and bags. Freya Rose is now stocked in over 50 store globally and her distinct pieces have been worn by some of the world's most revered women from The Princess of Wales to Kate Moss.
BEHIND OUR CRAFTSMANSHIP
WATCH HEREBeautiful craftsmanship lies at the heart of every Freya Rose piece.
Freya reimagines indigenous techniques to create contemporary designs that showcase the unparalleled artistry of our artisans. This craftsmanship has been passed down and honed through generations; the expertise, passion and knowledge of our artists is incomparable, creating pieces renowned and regarded as 'wearable works of art'.
At Freya Rose we are deeply committed to craftsmanship, slow fashion, and ethical integrity, with a focus on both people and the planet.
OUR
PHILOSOPHY & ETHOS
Freya Rose’s philosophy has always been to create unique, timeless collections with ethical integrity.
Freya Rose has worked alongside our talented artisan shoe couturiers in Spain and jewellers in Bali for over 14 years, considering them part of the Freya Rose family. We believe that preserving and supporting the ancestral craft techniques from the regions is essential in a fast, modern world where globalisation degrades these ancient practices and often exploits those involved in the process.
A Glimpse into Freya's
Inspiration
"I'm inspired by the profound beauty of nature and the essence of femininity. From native arts and culture to open landscapes, I draw from the wild and free, celebrating the grace and strength found in the natural world."
Rooted in indigenous craftsmanship and heritage, our designs honour the stories of our ancestral artisans who have passed down their skills through generations, creating pieces that embody the love of creation and community.
Our accessories are designed to elevate the everyday and beyond; channeling divine femininity, recognising the inner strength and elegance that resides within our world and in us all.
SUPPORTING CHARITY
RAISING OVER £25,000
Since becoming an Ambassador for The Prince's Trust, Freya Rose has proudly raised over £25,000 (and counting...) for their Change A Girl's Life initiative; a cause we're deeply dedicated to and passionate about. Through our charity galas, committed collections and personal team endeavours, Freya Rose is helping make a change for disadvantaged young women across the UK.
SUPPORTING PEOPLE
We have worked with the same skilled artisans for over 14 years, celebrating their unique, indigenous techniques.
Freya personally visits our artisans in Bali and Spain, developing collections beside them, whilst nurturing a close relationship with every talented artisan. By blending contemporary design with indigenous craftsmanship, we hope to help preserve traditional skills that are increasingly endangered by globalisation.
TAKING CARE OF OUR PLANET
Ethical integrity is at the core of our brand. We locally source Mother of Pearl, a natural by-product, and ensure all materials are ethically obtained.
Our designs are timeless; quality handcrafted pieces, an investment, made to last. Promoting circularity, we offer repair and recycling services alongside our rental collaborations to extend the life of our beautiful accessories. We minimize waste by using small production lines and working with eco-conscious partners like DHL's Go-Green program.
"While we know there’s always room for improvement, we are continuously evolving our environmental efforts to create a more sustainable future."
