Real Bride Michelle Wears Platform Wedding Shoes 'Freya'

 Michelle & Justin
How they Met
Michelle and Justin first met through a mutual friend of theirs whilst living 1,000 miles apart from each other! Their first date was 9.5 hours long and commenced a long distance relationship for 3 years. Having fallen madly in love, they continued long distance even throughout their engagement and are now married

The Venue
On New Year’s Day, Michelle and Justin tied the knot with the incredible seaside neighbourhood La Jolla (San Diego) as the backdrop. Located at The Lodge at Torrey Pines in California, the couple were surrounded by their nearest and dearest in 360 style seating, to witness the couple’s personalised vows all whilst overlooking the ocean
Michelle envisioned a ‘woodsy’ theme for the wedding and we can certainly see this come to life with her romantic ideas paired with greenery and lots of candles to provide soft lighting

The Dress
Michelle chose the stunning ‘Amber’ bridal dress designed by Suzanne Neville for her ceremony. We adored the structured bodice and square neckline which gave the bride a striking silhouette with strong shoulder details
To get the reception party underway Michelle adorned a Bespoke Viero Bridal dress that we can’t stop thinking about! We are big fans of the exaggerated bow and mini dress making the perfect pairing for a party reception and a shorter hem highlighting her ‘Freya’ heels on the dance floor

The Bridal Shoes: Why Michelle chose the ‘Freya - Pearl Platform Heels’
Michelle was after ‘the classiest pair of platform heels she could find’ for her bridal styling and she knew our latest launched Freya heels were exactly that. Whilst Michelle told us about distance being an ever present factor during their relationship hundreds of miles apart, their height was another distance between them but the ‘Freya’ heels were able to give 5’4 Michelle that luxurious boost of height, to be able to kiss and dance with her new husband Justin standing at 6’7. Michelle and Justin truly prove that distance really does make the heart grow fonder!  We thought the ‘Freya’ heels were the perfect choice for this beautiful bride’s vision and style to suit her dress, making for an Ivory match made in heaven

A Fun Detail
Since Michelle is a sports reporter and Justin a former Baseball Player, they decided to add a fun twist to their bridal introductions by posing them as a basketball lineup being announced before tipoff!

Advice for Future Brides:
1. Do not let ANYTHING ruin your day on the day-of
2. During the planning process, people will give their opinions and you will see the worst of some people but it is YOUR day and do what YOU want
3. Make sure you feel your prettiest so you're confident!
4. Designate day-of tasks to your bridesmaids/moms
5. Keep in perspective that the most IMPORTANT part of the entire process/event is that you're marrying the right person and at the end of the day, that's all that matters and should be the only reason you're getting married to begin with!
We are so honoured to have played a small part in such a beautiful demonstration of love and thank you to the pair for sharing the details of their special day with us x
