Q&A with Stephanie Allin

We love your company ethos, tell us more.

We are a proud British made brand and that is central to what we do and how we work. We work very closely with our brides, and our talented team is always on hand to craft, fit and perfect the dress. Authenticity, quality and integrity is at the core of what we do.

What are the 3 words you would use to describe you?

Entrepreneurial, artistic and dedicated.

What can we expect to see from your 2021 collection and where did you take inspiration from?

A lot of my inspiration came from todays bride and the lockdown. Weddings have changed for the time being and we want to help our brides navigate their way through this changing landscape.

Our aim has been to offer flexible, solution focused designs that still maintain all the romance, beauty and style. Smaller, more intimate weddings will be on the agenda and so we have looks that work perfectly in that scenario.

The Spirit 2021 Collection is all about versatility and effortless design. Expect to see statement sleeves in beautiful silk organzas and sheer embroidered tulles. Super flattering square necklines, feminine and sexy silhouettes, and dresses adorned in intricate embroideries.

We feel strongly about offering our brides pieces that can be worn again with items from their own wardrobes, so separates are a prominent feature in this collection including some made from recycled fabrics.

Brides can create different looks with this versatile collection, changing up their look from ceremony through to the dance floor. The various overskirts, jackets and shrugs offer the perfect solution, allowing brides to really have it all in the fashion stakes.

Do you have a favourite amongst your own designs? What makes this style so special to you?

A fabulous crepe jacket called Annie. Inspired by a beautiful vintage piece from my late mothers wardrobe.

I love the simplicity mixed with the flamboyant details. Annie can be worn with the Garbo trouser, or over the Tilly dress and even incorporated into your own wardrobe for future wears.

Which Freya Rose style would you choose to pair with your new collection?

So many fabulous styles to choose from!! We absolutely loved styling our dresses with the Roxy Boots. They really made a statement and brought the 'cool' factor to complete a look.

Which Freya Rose style is your personal favourite?

The Ziggy shoe is absolutely beautiful!!!

How do you stylistically advise your clients in regards to selecting their wedding shoes (once they have chosen their dress)?

Comfort when wearing a full skirted dress. If you have a dress with a fabulous split or sheer layers then go for it with a statement shoe. Ultimately be yourself and choose a style that reflects who you are.

We also love a design that can be kept and worn again and that can really elevate another outfit.
