INSPIRATION BEHIND THE DESIGNS

Each piece from The Amber Hour collection evokes that ephemeral moment when the horizon is set alight, painting the world in luminous shades of gold, crimson, and amber before surrendering to night.
Freya was drawn to this fleeting spectacle as a metaphor for the strength and beauty of the modern woman, radiant, powerful, and ever-changing. The Amber Hour collection transforms this transience into permanence, capturing a fleeting sky within timeless wearable works of art.

"As the sun sets, shadows lengthen and shapes sharpen. I wanted to channel this delicate balance of stillness and drama into the architectural forms of the collection, blending tradition with modern elegance."
- Freya Rose, Founder and Designer of Freya Rose London.

The Amber Hour, Couture Collection was inspired by deeply rooted Japanese artistic traditions, particularly the signature brushwork of Hokusai’s Red Fuji. Much like the mountain immortalised in paint, each silhouette in the collection becomes a study in contrast: stillness and movement, shadow and light, delicacy and strength. Sculptural lines echo the discipline of Japanese art, while rich, jewel-toned palettes channel the drama of a sky ablaze.
Inspiration for the collection name 'The Amber Hour' was taken from the Japanese word Yūyake (夕焼け), which translates to “burning sky” or “evening glow.”
