New York Bridal Week this year turned out some of their most cutting-edge wedding dresses yet, as well as some seriously glamorous gowns. No matter if you’re looking for traditional tastes, classic cuts, or are a bohemian bride, there was something for everyone. We’ve rounded up our selection of the most head-turning dresses below. Inbal Dror created a collection of angelic wedding dress designs. Glittering bridal dresses were embroidered with metallic embellishments on sheer, light dresses. Dror accessorised with a twist on tiaras - the models wore beautiful metallic halo-like headbands giving an ethereal effect. If you want to sparkle on your big day and are inspired by Inbal’s shimmering looks, our ‘Zara White’ and ‘Soraya Ivory’ bridal shoes would be perfect to match sequinned dresses and standout tiaras. Our Zara white leather slingback shoes feature eye-catching pearl and brass mosaic heels while our Soraya designer shoes feature a unique floral heel in brass and mosaic - ensure you’re on-trend in every way with these sparkling shoes. Also shaking up the bridal world, jumpsuits are having a practical and chic moment. We love the whimsical jumpsuits with stylish silhouettes as seen by Victor and Rolf and Anne Barge, but we really loved Halfpenny London’s ivory jumpsuit with a statement tulle cape that was unforgettable. This playful, unique design is also so feminine - it’s the look that keeps on giving. We suggest our ‘GiGi Ivory’ shoes as the perfect partner to jumpsuits for your big day. These shimmering ivory suede platform sandals with mother of pearl block midi heels are ideal for the bride that is looking for both practicality, and style. Pair these amazing midi heels with a chic ivory jumpsuit for a flawless wedding look, an all in one wow factor, and an outfit that was made for dancing. We also adored Oscar De La Renta’s standout blue wedding gown. This gorgeous layered tulle dress is a perfect way to incorporate ‘something blue,’ and also the most stylish way to ensure all eyes are on you. Are you the type of bride that doesn’t want to go the traditional route? Then we recommend this amazing blue gown - pair with our ‘Lottie’ soft blue silk-satin court shoes for an ultra-chic and stand-out wedding look. If you’re more of a classic bride, opt for the ivory dress you’ve always dreamed of, but wear our ‘Celine’ blue bridal shoes for a pop of colour. These blue hand-embroidered suede unique shoes are the most glamorous way to join this trend. Vera Wang’s striking dress is the ultimate modern gown for a fashion-conscious bride. We loved her use of texture, using layering and different materials to create her bold and memorable collection. Featuring a rock-chick contrasting removable black satin bra top and nuptial slogan “I Do” in bold tattoo typeface, we highlighted this dress on the left as our personal favourite. This dress literally says ‘love is forever,’ and stylistically says even more. These unique dresses, perfect for a romantic rebel, were styled with black platform heels on the runway. If you’re also a fan of these fresh looks - good news, we have the perfect luxury shoes to match. Our platform ‘Cleopatra Noir’ (featuring black shimmer suede and abalone shell heel) are hot on the heels of this revolutionary 2020 Fall Collection. We also love our new ‘Serena Pearlesque,’ for a different alternative to ivory classic shoes. Made of grey suede with mother of pearl and polished brass floral heel, these block heels are ideal for a bride who wants medium height, but maximum edge. Continuing to eschew traditional ideas, Danielle Frankel played with gender and fashion in her collection. We particularly loved this incredible organza wedding suit. Made with dreamy fabrics and featuring lace applique, but with a slightly masculine edge, this suit is one of the most versatile and chic pieces to be sent down the runway. We also love the idea of mixing and matching to create a memorable sartorial statement on your big day. Pair with our versatile ‘Roxy Blanco’ white boots to amp up the masculine side, or our opulent ‘CiCi Ivory’ shimmering platform sandals for a feminine look. Très chic both ways. Meanwhile, Monique Lhuillier showcased a dreamy collection of ultra-feminine dresses. Her floral motifs in the form of appliques, prints and pompoms were made for a true fairytale wedding. We were particularly impressed by her amazing princess dress using yards of floral fabric to create a statement exaggerated train. Tap into this blossoming trend with our ‘Rose In Bloom’ elegant evening wedding heels - featuring hand-cut mother of pearl in the shape of amorous floral patterns. We loved to see designers take more risks this Bridal Fashion Week. It’s clear to see more unique options are being presented as designers use all of their creative potential to create stunning gowns (and suits!)
