Freya Rose Bridal Roundup 2021
2021 brought us a year of weddings and breathtaking demonstrations of love. We were very lucky to have witnessed so many brides choosing our pieces over the year for their wedding day. The Freya Rose team was so inspired, we decided to pick 5 bridal styles, that were shown off at 5 amazing and different weddings to provide you with bridal inspiration for 2022.
We are so grateful and see it as an honour knowing that we are part of such a special day; We hope that 2022 will bring more weddings and beautiful brides adorning our bridal collection pieces!
Danielle in 'GiGi'
Danielle and Craig’s wedding took place by the sea, in front of the ruins of Old St Helen’s Church on the Isle of Wight. They were blessed with beautiful sunshine to accommodate their summer wedding on the coast and a big tip on outdoor summer weddings from the bride herself was “We provided sunglasses, fans and bottled water to our guests, which went down very well!”. Danielle wore a stunning Off-the-shoulder Enzoani bespoke dress a true summer inspired gown which paired perfectly with our platformed bridal sandal ‘GiGi’. The beautiful bride opted for these heels because of their undisputed comfortability given she does not bode heeled shoes very often. Whilst the couple were told they couldn’t use confetti, they had ribbon wands with bells, which is not only mess free, but environmentally conscious which we always love! A converted camper as a bar, barbecue platters/pizza menu along with an outdoor DJ creating a festival style alfresco dance arena - sounds like Danielle and Craig know how to plan a real party and most importantly remember to put themselves first, to ensure they created the perfect evening for the pair as a couple, to be enjoyed with their family and friends.
Emily in 'CiCi'
Emily and Brett tied the knot in Autumn with their reception taking place at The Gallery Venue at Tomas Bistro in Downtown New Orleans, LA. The exposed brick walls and original wooden beams, along with soaring ceilings made for a stunning venue which stole our hearts. The bride wore an amazing lace and sequin detailed Rita Vinieris dress, know for bespoke and timeless bridal stylings. This incredible dress was matched with the shimmery ivory suede ‘CiCi’ platform heels. Emily chose these heels because of the classic simplicity mixed with the subtle glamour of the pearl heel which paired exactly with her intended style. Showered in confetti, the couple always knew they had found the one right after their first date; With this it was beautiful seeing photography that captured a pair who have truly found one another. Emily’s advice to future brides “It’s easy to get caught up in the hustle and bustle of everything so take some time for yourselves during your wedding day to really soak everything in”
Katie in 'Charlie'
We saw Katie and Mark get married earlier this year at St Mary the Virgin Church in Grittleton village followed by a beautiful reception at Grittleton house. A venue filled with an abundance of beautiful scenery, the outdoor area is the perfect ensemble of picturesque gardens and a treelined drive, with the interior made up of decorative high ceilings and sweeping staircases - a true fairytale venue. Katie wore a bespoke Suzanne Neville from Carina Baverstock Couture which was the perfect colour match for her ‘Charlie’ heels. Katie’s Husband Mark is “rather tall” (as the bride describes it herself) so she was looking for a chic and elegant boost in height, which we were delighted to be able to accommodate to with our collection of heels. Luckily, the couple escaped the strict COVID restrictions at the time as they were lifted that same weekend, allowing Katie to enjoy getting ready with her girls, all the way to the pair being able to dance the night away. The childhood sweethearts had a day filled with love and Katie advises all future brides to “really take it all in, the sounds of the church bells, the scent of all the florals etc so you really have memories to last a life time!”
Jamie in 'Jasmine White'
Jamie and Mike’s wedding took place at Angry Orchard, Walden NY - the bride’s very own place of work! This was a beautiful Spring wedding where the bride wore a simply stunning dress by Alyssa Kristin and cape by Emmy Mae Bridal. We were really moved by this wedding as the bride explained that all of the vendors on the day were people they are friends with! “From the chef, florist, photographer, and of course our dear friends at Wander Bus Photo Booth, we are all friends in real life! It meant so much to us to be able to support their businesses and have their unique fingerprints on our day” The photo booth was a detail we loved as it was a Volkswagen bus that perfectly fit with the pair’s vibe of a little rock-and-roll with wild love! Jamie was sure to add some flair to all aspects of the wedding, whether it be her pink fuzzy jacket or disco ball cup to drink out of all night, she explained that she knew that the shoes too had to make a statement. The bride chose the ‘Jasmine White’ heels because of their practicality and statement style quoting that she “could wear them again (date night, girls night, etc) and would be able to carry the most special day into other moments in the future”. A fitting piece of advice from Jamie herself was “let your personality shine in whatever way makes you feel like YOU! From the dress to shoes, everything! Remember it's your day! Oh, and follow the number one piece of advice you always hear - make sure you eat!”
Hollie in 'Martina'
Hollie married Mike, after some delay thanks to *you guessed it* COVID but this may have been a blessing in disguise because their new wedding date landed on Halloween, which the couple ran with as a theme. The wedding day took place at Cripps Barn, Cirencester in the Cotswolds an 18th century stone barn, making for a stunning venue for the special day with a gothic twist. Hollie wore a dress full of pearl and shimmer from Grace Loves Lace which she paired with ‘Martina’ to tie back to her pearly outfit. The bride described these heels as a “weightless hug to the foot” that she’s excited to wear again and again, after all we are strong believers that comfort shouldn’t mean a compromise on style. The day looked to be full of fun with the pair having asked guests to carve a pumpkin and bring that along, as well as a black cake and candles being a subtle nod back to their initial halloween theme. Hollie wanted to “feel like a queen on the wedding day and these little bits of luxury made that happen”, something that warmed our hearts knowing that Freya Rose shoes contributed to.
