New York Bridal Fashion Week Round-Up - Freya Rose Pearl Shoes and Jewellery

New York Bridal Fashion Week Round-Up

New York Bridal Fashion Week took place earlier this month and with weddings back in full force we are all the more excited for the showcase of exquisite bridal ensembles and trends for 2023! After two years of virtual appointments and online runways, bridal designers have finally been able to present their creations to the public in real-life settings.

The Freya Rose team have picked out their favourite stand-out looks from New York Bridal Fashion Week for all your wedding inspiration needs!

Elie Saab

We adore this tulle gown by Elie Saab with statement floral embroidered organza details throughout the stunning gown. We love how the oversized flower appliqués lay against the ivory tulle layers looking delicate yet bold

For a subtle nod to the floral motif wedding dress, we would pair this dress with 'Flora' - a beautiful open-toe bridal sandal featuring soft shimmering suede ties. Featuring a genuine mother of pearl block heel that has hand-cut pieces of pearl hand inlaid into a unique floral design to tie into the Elie Saab wedding gown. The Freya Rose jewellery of choice would be 'Pearly Drop Hoops' for a delicate seed-pearl earring with a statement baroque pearl for that subtle statement look!

Costarellos

The Costarellos high-neck bridal mini dress in satin took our breath away - Featuring a glamorous sparkling fringe sleeve for a boho-chic look with a touch of glitz with this fun embellished detail!

This fashion-forward cool bride style would match perfectly with our statement white ankle bridal bootJune’. This midi block heel gives that little boost of height in beautifully handcrafted mother of pearl and polished brass, which pairs perfectly with the modern ‘Hammered Baroque Pearl’ earrings for a touch of statement.

Sareh Nouri

Sareh Nouri revealed an effortlessly feminine embroidered floral lace column gown at New York Bridal Week this year. We are in awe at how perfect the floral embellishments with pearl running throughout elevates this classic style with the added detail.

To bring out the beautiful embroidery we would pair this gown with our ‘Small Pearly Hoops’ to mimic the same delicate and intricate hand-stitched pearl details on this gown. For an extra touch of floral charm, we picked the ‘Rozu’ heels for their chic style and wearability!

Amsale

We know tradition says white and ivory are the norm but we think rules are made to be broken! Amsale has designed a stunning wedding ball gown that has detailed floral motifs printed onto an eye-catching lilac taffeta. We love the thought of a lilac wedding dress for its unique style and personality, just like the bride wearing it.

Whilst the dress may not be ivory, that doesn’t mean the wedding jewellery shouldn’t as we would pair this style with the ‘Hakuro Ivory Mother of Pearl Long Drops’. Given the gorgeous length this gown holds we would opt for a platformed stiletto heel such as ‘Freya’ - a shimmering ivory suede platform with floral pearl heel stiletto is an incredibly unique piece to finish this dreamy bridal styling.

Safiyaa

Safiyaa showcased an incredible selection of designs, it was difficult picking a favourite bridal look but we adored this crisp and sophisticated bridal pantsuit. A bold silhouette and tailored to perfection, we love how many modern brides are taking to different bridal outfits including wedding suits and jumpsuits.

We would pair this strong look with ‘Zara White’, a slingback peep-toe shoe with a load of character in its handmade block heel of genuine mother of pearl and polished brass design - a real statement shoe. We would then accessorise these shoes with ‘Pearl and Mother of Pearl Pear Drops’, light-to-wear and adorned with beautiful seed pearls on 22ct gold earring for a chic touch of femininity to a bridal pantsuit.

Dana Harel

We have seen the rise in popularity of sheer wedding dresses, they are the perfect subtly seductive wedding dress choice - Dana Harel created the sheer embellished dress of dreams. The design is said to be inspired by fireworks through the meticulously beaded allover pearl and sequin embroidery.

Freya Rose’s ‘Baroque Pearl Long Drops’ compliment the a-line gown’s embroidered tulle and ties in the delicate seed pearls that are hand-strung by skilled artisans to create the elegant drop earring with sizeable baroque pearls in-between each. The shoe of choice would be the infamous ‘GiGi’ chunky platformed heels.

Madeline Gardner

Madeline Gardner had a beautiful array of bridal gowns at New York Bridal Fashion Week, featuring cascading trains and amazing lace dresses. Our favourite dress was both regal in design and style, with a high lace and tulle neckline matched with a long sleeve silhouette.

We immediately though this classic look would pair beautifully with our classic wedding shoes ‘Celina Ivory’ that are adorned with a traditional silver embellishment. These exquisitely embellished shoes would make an impeccable match with the ‘Petite Silver Crystal Drops’ a small crystal earrings inspired by the silhouette of an open flower, make for an ideal style for a classic and timeless wedding with flair.

Monique L’huillier

An incredibly curated collection of wedding dresses presented by Monique L’huillier for spring 2023 wedding inspiration made the centre-point of the collection amazing cascading trains. However, what caught our eye from New York Bridal Fashion was the detailed embroidery of blue, green and pink flora on this glamorous gown. We love that whilst the bridal gown is white, the detailed stitching creates a pop of colour and contrast for brides wanting to make a statement but still have a white wedding dress.

The trailing Watteau train works effortlessly with the high-heeled ‘Soraya’ sandals - Made from a sumptuous white leather to match the crisp dress and contemporary mosaic flower on the tie heeled sandals. We love to see this worn with the 'Gold Weave Mini Hoops with Baroque Pearls' for a stylish and fashion-forward bride!
